Finally found a tutorial that actually explains how to recover detail from a tricky RAW file without making the highlights look muddy. The step-by-step breakdown on balancing exposure was exactly what I needed to salvage several old photos I'd given up on.

I struggled for ages trying to fix blown-out highlights in my indoor portraits, but the step-by-step technique for recovering detail from the RAW file worked on my very first attempt.
